Liturgical Calendar

According to Article 103 of the Constitution of The Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ in the World – The Tocoistas, the following anniversaries are observed in its Liturgical Calendar:

  1. January 1 – New Year’s Day
  2. January 9, 1950 – Day of Liberation from imprisonment and expulsion from the Belgian Congo to Angola of His Holiness Prophet Simão Gonçalves Toco and the first Tocoistas.
  3. January 10, 1984 – Day of the Funeral of the Sacred Body of His Holiness Prophet Simão Gonçalves Toco in Ntaia, Maquela do Zombo, Province of Uíge.
  4. January 31, 1974 – Day of the appointment of the first General Representatives of the Youth of Angola and Luanda, recognized as the International Day of Tocoista Youth, instituted by His Holiness Prophet Simão Gonçalves Toco from the Azores Archipelago, Portugal.
  5. February 24, 1918 – Day of the Birth of His Holiness Prophet Simão Gonçalves Toco in Sadi Zulumongo, Maquela do Zombo, Province of Uíge, Angola.
  6. April 17, 1935 – Day of the Meeting of His Holiness Prophet Simão Gonçalves Toco with the Most High Jehovah God in Catete, Icolo and Bengo, Angola.
  7. May 20, 2001 – International Day of Tocoista Children, instituted by His Holiness Prophet Simão Gonçalves Toco, personified in His Eminence Bishop Don Afonso Nunes.
  8. June 22, 1976 – Day of Anguish, marking the assault and looting of the Official Residence of His Holiness Prophet Simão Gonçalves Toco in Luanda.
  9. June 22, 2004 – Day of the Funeral of the Sacred Body of the Venerated Mother Dona Maria Rosa Toco in Ntaia, Maquela do Zombo, Province of Uíge.
  10. July 15 – Day of the Celebration of the Feast of Tabernacles (Deuteronomy 16:13-17).
  11. July 16 – Day of the Spiritual Return of the Prophet Simão Gonçalves Toco, personified in His Holiness Bishop Don Afonso Nunes.
  12. August 8, 1962 – Day of the foundation of the Holy City of the Great King ( Psalm 48:2 ).
  13. August 17, 2012 – Inauguration Day of the temple of the Living God.
  14. August 31, 1974 – Day of the Triumphal Return of His Holiness Prophet Simão Gonçalves from the Azores Archipelago, Portugal to Luanda, Angola, after 11 years exiled.
  15. October 22, 1949 – Day of the First Arrest of His Holiness Prophet Simão Gonçalves with the first Tocoistas in Leopoldville, now Kinshasa, former Belgian Congo, current Democratic Republic of Congo.
  16. November 11, 1950 – Day of the Deportation of His Holiness Prophet Simão Gonçalves Toco and family from the Colony Vale do Loge, Bembe, Province of Uíge to Southern Angola.
  17. November 28, 1974 – Day of the Consecration of the first two Pastors of INSJCM by His Holiness Prophet Simão Gonçalves Toco on the way to Congo Kinshasa, recognized as the Day of the Pastor.
  18. December 25, 1955 – International Day of Tocoist Women, honoring the establishment of the meeting of the Mothers, instituted by His Holiness Prophet Simão Gonçalves Toco from the former Moçamedes, now Namibe Province, Angola.
  19. December 25 – Christmas, the conventional date for the commemoration of the Birth of our Lord Jesus Christ.
  20. December 27, 1932 – Day of the Birth of the Venerated Mother Dona Maria Rosa Toco in the Village of Mbanza Mbata – Kimacondo, Maquela de Zombo, Province of Uíge.
  21. December 31 – Day of the Physical Disappearance of His Holiness Prophet Simão Gonçalves Toco.

The structures and bodies of The Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ in the World – The Tocoistas publicly commemorate these anniversaries, mobilizing all the faithful and the local community, thereby conferring the solemnity, honor, and dignity that they deserve.
